Why We Started
Buying home stuff online should be simple. It's not. Every product page has thousands of glowing reviews that may or may not be real. Every category has dozens of nearly identical options with confusing spec sheets. Every influencer recommendation comes with a disclosure nobody reads.
We started Nestled because we were tired of it. We wanted a single place to find home goods that someone had actually tested, compared, and stood behind without taking a paycheck from the manufacturer.
How We Pick Products
Every recommendation on Nestled goes through a real process. We start with the category, gather every product with strong user reviews, compare specs side by side, eliminate anything with persistent quality complaints, and then test the top contenders in actual homes.
We read the one-star reviews especially closely. That's where the real problems live. If a product has a design flaw that shows up after six months, the one-star reviewers will tell you about it. The five-star reviews just say "arrived fast, looks nice."
When we link to a product, we earn a small commission if you buy it, at no extra cost to you. This is how we keep the site running without charging readers or accepting sponsored placements. The commission doesn't influence what we recommend. We'd rather you trust us and come back than make an extra dollar on a product we don't believe in.
Our Standards
We never accept payment for placements. If a brand sends us a free product (which we rarely accept), we disclose it clearly in the article. Most of what we test, we buy ourselves with our own money. When we do accept a review unit, it doesn't guarantee a recommendation, plenty of free stuff we've tested ended up not making the cut.
We update our guides regularly. Products go out of stock, prices change, and new options hit the market. If a recommendation is more than six months old, we've probably revisited it.
